Raising abandoned children
into realized adults
for God's glory
Talita Cumi strives to see its children, adolescents and young adults develop the extent of their God given potential through a process of educational, emotional and spiritual support, so they might become responsible adults who contribute positively to society.
Talita Cumi Children’s home exists to tangibly show the overwhelming love of Jesus Christ through service to and relationships with the orphaned, abused and abandoned children of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
The children’s home, Talita Cumi, was founded in 1999 as Fe y Esperanza (Faith and Hope) when the Bolivian government office of the prefecture seized the home of a drug trafficker and declared it would be used as an orphanage.
He took her by the hand and said to her,
“Talita cumi!” which means, “Little girl, I
say to you, rise up!”
